What’s a 30th Anniversary without a party game? Play along to stay active, connect with others, and have fun!
Who said you can’t get fit (or keep your strength up) in your 60s, 70s, and beyond? Not us! At SilverSneakers, we’ve been pushing the boundaries of what people think aging looks like since 1992.
And we’ve grown quite a bit over the past 30 years. At the beginning, we just had one signature class: SilverSneakers Classic. It started as a chair-based program that was only available in 15 locations in Phoenix and Tucson, Arizona.
Today, we offer hundreds of live classes each week — and many more through our Community partners and participating fitness locations. And there’s quite the array — from dance-style cardio to fall prevention moves to muscle-building workouts.
All in all, we’re here to prove that life (and SilverSneakers) gets better with age.
To celebrate our 30th anniversary, we’ve put together the Journey to 30 Challenge! It’s four weeks of summer-fun activities to help you stay active, connect with the SilverSneakers community, and have a total blast doing it.

2 Special Journey to 30 SilverSneakers Workouts
Best of all, the Journey to 30 Challenge includes two very special workouts.
- On August 31, we invite everyone — both SilverSneakers members and non-member fitness enthusiasts — to help us set a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for Most Views for a Dance Fitness Lesson Live Stream on Facebook. All you need to do is join our Facebook Live event at 2:30 p.m. ET. (Come ready to move!)
- On September 16, we wrap up the Journey to 30 Challenge with a SilverSneakers LIVE 30th Anniversary Grand Finale Member Celebration workout party for SilverSneakers members. You can RSVP for the 1:00 p.m. ET online class beginning September 2 and right up to the very last minute! Not sure if you qualify? You can check your eligibility here.
How the Challenge Works
The challenge is open to everyone, including SilverSneakers members and non-members, and is sure to be one of the best things you do for yourself this summer.
On weekdays beginning August 22, follow along here on the SilverSneakers blog to see the latest and find full instructions to complete each day’s activity.
Be on the lookout for the camera icon. That’s your cue to take a selfie of your workout that day and post it to our Facebook page with @SilverSneakers. It’s a great way to interact with SilverSneakers fans around the country.
Don’t worry if you miss a day — or want to repeat an activity — you can always come back here to catch up.
