And this flexibility and mobility workout from SilverSneakers LIVE instructor Sims Corbett does a lot of good. It’ll help ease stiff joints and tight muscles. Over time, it can help you move more freely, comfortably, and confidently—no matter what you’re doing.
This workout can be performed as a circuit anywhere from one to three times through by doing each round right after the other. Or you can break it up throughout the day, such as a round in the morning, afternoon, and evening.
How Unlock Your Flexibility and Mobility Works
All you need is yourself, a clear wall, and open floor space. If you’d like support during any of the exercises, have a sturdy chair nearby. It’s also helpful to have water, and you should feel free to sip as you need.
To keep tabs on your effort, use a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the hardest. You can ramp up or dial down as you need, but in a mobility and flexibility workout, you shouldn’t need to go any higher than 5. As you move, keep breathing, prioritize good form, and listen to your body. You want to feel a gentle stretch during these exercises, but you should never push to the point of pain.
